Larimer Square
Website Redesign
THE CHALLENGE

Larimersquare.com was in need of a refresh in order to be brought up to standard with current web standards and to be more intuitive and user friendly. The main area that needed updating was the online directory. The existing functionality was dated and the backend needed to include a fully interactive map where visitors could easily and quickly find detailed tenant information, including tenant phone numbers and locations.

THE EXECUTION

AOR worked closely with the Larimer Square team to understand a visitor’s online journey and ensure information was organized in a user friendly manner. The AOR process included developing a robust backend to easily promote events and update tenant directory information. We customized the ability for tenants to log in and submit events to be approved to publish directly to the site. Additionally, a filtering system was implemented on the tenant listings pages to provide the user with multiple ways to find retailers that match their criteria. AOR used video footage and photography throughout the site to capture the spirit and history of Larimer Square.

THE PROCESS

AOR’s tried and true website process begins with a robust advanced discovery and journey mapping session to establish the strategy and goals of the project. Using the strategy established in the advanced discovery, we built out a recommended site map and content map for the site.

Copywriting and wireframing began simultaneously so the client could begin to visualize the location and placement of design assets and functionality throughout the site. Following wireframing, AOR delivered a completely customized, on-brand site design. A fully responsive, custom WordPress theme was created and tested thoroughly prior to launch.
